Boss Best Practice

Why this session is critical to business success:

  •  "People don't quit their jobs, they quit their bosses".
  • Most bosses don't know how to be a good boss .... they were promoted because they were good at their job and not because they were good at managing people.
  • A Gallup poll of more than 1 million workers concluded that a bad boss or supervisor is the Number 1 reason people quit their jobs.
  • 85% of people who left their jobs in the past year did so because of their boss.
  • Poorly managed work groups are on average 50 percent less productive and 44 percent less profitable than well-managed groups.
  • A recent survey from Right Management found that 84% of employees polled intend to leave their jobs within two years and the majority indicate that they are leaving because of a bad boss.
  • In these days of a diminishing workforce and skilled labor shortages, you cannot afford  to have bosses who drive people away.

It's really this simple:

Great bosses = engaged workers = employee retention = business success.

What 'Boss Best Practice' is all about:

  • Benchmarking and applying best practice of great bosses.  Here are some:
